Scales of Maat
This is an exercise or spell you can perform when you are trying to determine the true "intention or purpose behind a proposition or situation".
Cast a circle and invoke the Goddess Maat or Thoth. Visualize a pair of scales. On the left side, place an object that represents your problem or situation. On the right side, place the feather of Maat. Give the scales to Maat and wait for an answer. In the unlikely event that you don't receive and an immediate answer, the solution will surface in three days or three weeks. Don't forget to thank the deities. Close the circle.
